San Miguel, July 2008
On July 13 we headed out to San Miguel Island with a few members from our dive club to participate in REEF's Great Annual Fish Count. Getting to the outer islands is always a bit of a gamble, but luck was with us – we had an amazingly smooth crossing and a rare day at San Miguel, with calm seas and decent underwater vis. We dived Oil Springs, Nifty Rock, and Hare Rock; the rockfish were abundant, and there was plenty else to see (and count!) as well. Ray has a write-up on the trip in our club newsletter.Read More

Beautiful! Enjoyed Ray's article, too. So glad you can enjoy the underwater world that too few know.
